Work progressed on the baby's room today. Antoinette picked "Blue Silk" as the color to paint his room. Its a bit like a Sky Blue or Baby Blue, as you can see in the picture. Once that paint dries in there, I'll pick up, get the plates back on the outlets, and move the furniture back to wrap up Phase II in assembling the Nursery. If you zoom down a few entries, you can see the noticeable difference in the room before and after.
As for little Willie, the kid's like a small cantaloupe now. Since he's a boy, this is the time when his decidedly boy parts (the pair) begin their descent. For the next several weeks, this migration will occur within the abdomen. The actual method of measuring the baby changes this week, but you'll probably hear me using both methods for awhile. He used to be measured from crown to rump, or head to "tail", but this week, many start measuring from head to toe. That could result in a sizable difference in the length estimates I am giving you for the child's size, so understand he didn't double in size next week. Just a change in how we measure.
As for Antoinette, she's still doing fantastic. No complaints. A bit of heartburn, indigestion, etc. No nausea or real bad cramping. Occasionally, she gets a ligament stretching pain, but they quickly subside. The baby is kicking quite a bit now and Antoinette is beginning to feel like maybe she can tell when he's awake and when he's sleeping. The baby will sleep about 18-20 hours a day still. A couple days ago, I got to feel my first kick. It took awhile, but when it happened, it was very cool. A very, very, very delicate tap on Antoinette's belly. Very cool.
